Handle this hot sauce with caution!

We have been bringing you some powerful and flavourful Icelandic heat since 2017 and here we have ”Oddur” hot sauce.

In this one we put all of the heat making it the spiciest one of all five Eldtungur hot sauce types and by all means: be careful when splashing & flashing this one around.

Few fun facts about us

- All our “Eldtungur“ hot sauces are made by us at Ölverk right here in Hveragerði in the south region of Iceland.

- All of our chilli comes from a steamy greenhouse in the nearby area that uses geothermal steam for keep up the temperature all year round.

- With Ölverk being located in the town of Hveragerði we have always searched for ways to make use the powerful geothermal energy the surrounds our town: in both our process of producing “Eldtungur“ hot sauce and of course also in our on-site micro brewery.

- The name “Eldtungur“ means in english “Flaming Tongues“ but while devouring "Eldtungur" hot sauce / “Flaming Tongue“ your tongue goes into overdrive, your core temperature rises, your seasonal flu symptoms clear up, your mood lifts and in the end you might live longer.
